Emulation

"Emulation" explores the notion of replicating the source. Crafted using 3D printing and casting processes, it prompts us to question the true essence of an original. The sculpture is constructed from wood infused PLA, creating a striking contrast with the transparent resin. Embedded within the cast resin are heat-bent plexiglass elements resembling DNA, etched with the binary code from the original 3D file. The distinct visual contrast between the PLA and resin invokes thoughts of severed artificial limbs, raising further inquiries about the existence of multiple originals.
