Emergence

"Emergence" is a suspended sculpture that symbolizes the current state of AI in art. The installation aims to present the relationship between humans and AI in a more peaceful light, where AI is not seen as an adversary but as a path to evolution. At its core, it features two abstracted human bones with red and blue optical fibers woven through them, resembling server cables and nerves. The Plexiglass surrounding the bones is etched with an image generated by DALLE 2, instructed to create an image of blood vessels. This etched image is a blend of binary code from the original images and the images themselves, filled with ink that fluoresces under UV light. The sculpture is accompanied by sounds of lungs, heartbeats, and blood flow recorded through a stethoscope. Its purpose is to captivate viewers with sensory overload and then encourage contemplation of its various elements' meanings.
